What we write down, and why
Blissuno is a physical venue, and our privacy practices are built for a physical venue: we collect the minimum a licensed house must, we keep it behind the desk, and we never sell it. This policy explains exactly how that works.
Who we are
Blissuno Hotel & Casino Ltd ("Blissuno", "we", "the house") operates a brick-and-mortar hotel, casino and events venue at Queenstown Central Shopping Centre, Shop A-16/19 Grant Road, Frankton, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand. We are the data controller for all personal information collected at the venue and through blissuno.com.
Questions about this policy can be directed to blissuno@gmail.com or by phone at +64 27 403 0431, or in person at the brass desk — which, in keeping with house philosophy, is our favourite channel.
- Registered owner: Blissuno Holdings Limited
- Company No. 8123456 · NZBN 9429038123456
- Licensed gaming venue under New Zealand law
Information we collect
We collect only what a licensed hospitality house genuinely needs, and mostly on paper or at the desk rather than online:
- Reservation details — name, contact details, dates, party size and preferences you choose to share.
- Identity verification — a sight of photo ID at the floor entrance, as required by our venue licence. We record the fact of verification, not a copy, unless the law insists otherwise.
- Player card records — table visits and credits, kept to run our loyalty rituals and Host Responsibility duties.
- Event enquiries — the content of messages you send through the contact form.
- CCTV — the venue operates camera surveillance for the safety of guests and staff, retained for a rolling 30 days.
We do not collect payment details through this website; deposits and bills are settled in person at the desk.
How we use it
Your information serves the stay, the game and the law — in that order, and nothing else:
- Confirming and preparing your reservation, event or private night.
- Operating the player card, its credits and your Host Responsibility options.
- Meeting our licensing, gaming and anti-money-laundering obligations.
- Sending you nothing unless you asked — we do not run email marketing lists.
We do not profile guests for advertising, we do not sell data in any form, and the "usual" the barman remembers lives in the staff's heads, not in a database.
Cookies & the website
This website is deliberately quiet. A single essential cookie stores your cookie-banner choice on the home page; nothing tracks you between sites, and no advertising scripts are loaded. Full details of every crumb we set are in the Cookie Policy.
The website contains no booking engine and takes no payments, so there is no account system and no password to lose. What you type into the contact form goes to the desk's inbox and nowhere else.
Sharing & third parties
We share personal information only where the house must:
- With gaming regulators and law enforcement, where the licence or the law requires it.
- With our accountants and auditors, under confidentiality, for the ledgers to balance.
- With the emergency services, if a night goes badly wrong and the law expects us to help.
We have never sold guest information, we do not share it with social platforms, and we do not send guest lists to anyone — including the people who ask nicely.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, and ask how long we keep it. We answer such requests within 20 working days — usually much faster, because the ledger is a shelf, not a labyrinth.
To make a request, write to blissuno@gmail.com, call +64 27 403 0431, or ask at the brass desk. If you are unhappy with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
This policy may be updated as the house grows; the effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
